- A Wet Scrubber is an air pollution control device that uses a liquid to remove contaminants from a gas stream. The removal process is achieved by bringing the gas stream into contact with the scrubbing liquid, which facilitates the mass transfer of the contaminants into the liquid.
- The goal in absorption and wet scrubbing equipment is the removal of gases and particulate matter from an exhaust steam by causing the gaseous contamination to become dissolved into the liquid stream and the solids to be entrained in the liquid.
